Dr. Tami Recesso is a highly respected manual physical therapy specialist with more than 30 years of clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics. As the owner of Recesso Physical Therapy for over 24 years, she has established a practice recognized for clinical excellence, individualized care, and exceptional patient outcomes.
Dr. Recesso earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Franklin Pierce University in 2009 and her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Notre Dame College in 2001. She began her career in 1995 as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant after completing her Associate’s degree at North Shore Community College, gaining extensive hands-on experience in outpatient orthopedic care.
Licensed and board-certified in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, Dr. Recesso specializes in orthopedic and sports-related injuries, ranging from common sprains and strains to complex spine conditions. She is widely regarded as a spine specialist, with physicians frequently referring complex and unresolved cases to her for advanced evaluation and treatment. Her clinical philosophy centers on identifying and addressing the root cause of dysfunction through her self created DocTami Method skilled manual therapy and osteopathic protocols, promoting long-term healing and sustainable results.
In addition to her clinical leadership, Dr. Recesso is an international educator, teaching her proprietary manual therapy protocols to healthcare professionals in London, Saudi Arabia, Budapest, Switzerland, Dubai, and Massachusetts. She is the author of The Art of Manual Therapy: A Root Cause Treatment Guide, available through Amazon, where she shares practical frameworks to help clinicians and patients resolve pain efficiently and effectively.
Dr. Recesso also serves as a private practice consultant, coach, and multi-practice owner. She volunteered for three months as a member of the medical team during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, supporting Olympic and Paralympic athletes.
In 2020, she developed DocTami.com, an innovative digital platform designed to help patients and providers identify the underlying causes of pain and alternative treatments. DocTami.com offers live educational video sessions, guided exercise instruction, self-treatment strategies, and online assessment tools to support high-quality, pain-free living.
Dr. Recesso is deeply committed to advancing the profession of manual physical therapy while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. Together with her highly skilled team, she prioritizes clinical excellence, compassionate service, and treating every patient with the respect and attention they deserve.

Dr Brandon Chagnon PT, DPT
Dr Brandon was born and raised in New England most of his life. He has always had a passion for health and wellness. Being an avid weight lifter, personal trainer, and a former professional MMA fighter he wanted to enhance his education with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Brandon completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise physiology at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He completed his graduate degree at the prestigious A.T. Still University in Mesa. Arizona. After being in the desert for three years he set his sights on moving to Alaska with his family and treated the underserved pediatric population in beautiful Alaska.

Margaryt "Maggie" McGarry PTA
Maggie McGarry is a licensed board-certified physical therapy assistant who specializes in not only satisfying your physical therapy needs, but making you feel good about it. She has a determined nature and a kindness that is palpable. She is committed to your success and helping you reach your goals quickly and efficiently! She is an amazing provider and has glowing reviews among our client base.
Leslie Parker, PT, MPT
Leslie Parker PT, MPT is a board certified physical therapist licensed in Massachusetts, NH, and Maine. She graduated from Notre Dame College in 2000 with her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. She brings over 26 years of experience as a Pelvic Floor Therapist and also a private practice owner. She published "The Art of Control" to help women improve their pelvic health. She offers specialty services in dry needling, facial guasha skin rejuvenation, and manual physical therapy services in our Exeter NH location.
Karli DeSouza, PT, sDPT
Karli is a compassionate physical therapist graduate who earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Franklin Pierce University. Growing up as a hockey and softball athlete, she developed a deep appreciation for functional movement, injury recovery, and the body’s ability to adapt and thrive.
Karli is known for her warm, personable nature and her ability to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. She creates a supportive, encouraging environment where individuals feel heard, motivated, and empowered in their rehabilitation journey.
Her clinical strengths include movement assessment, tailored exercise programming, patient education, and a preventative approach to long-term wellness. She also brings experience leading Pilates Reformer–based classes, offering clients controlled mobility, core stability, and balanced movement training.
Karli is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love—whether that’s daily living, recreation, work, or sport. She values holistic care, accessible guidance, and meeting each person exactly where they are to support confident, healthy movement and improved quality of life.

From the South: From route 495 in Haverhill take the Route 125 North Plaistow exit. Continue straight on 125 north. Take a right on to Chandler Avenue after Bank of America. Take your first left on to Garden Road. We are number 11 (navy blue building).
From the North: Route 125 South. At the Walmart entrance lights STAY IN THE FAR LEFT LANE and take a U TURN at the lights. You will then be on route 125 North, take your first right on to Garden Road. We are number 11 just past Coco & Early Realty

From the South: Take US-1 to State Street, We are located at 143 State Street ground floor Unit 3. There is parking in the front of the building, on the street, or behind the building.

From the North: Take I-95 S to 110-E/Macy St in Amesbury. Take Exit 58 from I-95 S. Take a right on Merrill Street, At the roundabout, take the third exit to Merrimac St. Take a right onto State Street at the Newburyport square. We are located on upper State St. 143.
